why distilled water not conduct ? whereas water?

distilled water does not conduct electricity as it has no salts / ions in it which help in conduction of electricity. whereas normal water conducts electricity as it has salts / ions in it which help in conduction of electricity.

Distilled water is pure water
pure water doesnot conduct electricity because ions are not present whereas water contains ion and conduct electricity
