Why distribution of water is not uniform?

the distribution of water is not uniform because..... in some places they are very much far away from the reservoir... ponds... rivers.... lakes.... sea... ocean..... and the rainfall is also not sure to have water fully on that place.....
places in India like rajsthan has lowest rainfall....whereas in India mawsyamann place had highest rainfall..
