The DNA coping mechanism is very necessary for the reproduction process as the coping of DNA can help in the transfer of the characters or information from the parents to the offspring. It can also generate variations at the time of sexual reproduction . The variation is the reason behind the evolution. Without the genetic information , no cell can function.

during reproduction the offspring created are similar to the parents but not identical. Every time some minor errors are made during dna copying. These minors changes adds up to be big changes and hence variation is created
