The wall of the cells of green algae contain cellulose in which they store carbohydrates as starch.
Green algae have chlorophyll in their chloroplasts which gives them a green pigment like other green plants.
The amazing fact in this is that they abdorb colors of lights in the surrounding.
Different type of alge absorbs different colours.
