All living organisms respire. Cells need and use the energy that is formed through this process to assist with life processes in order for organisms to survive and reproduce. Oxygen and carbon dioxide are the main gases involved in aerobic respiration.

HEY!!¡

Living things need energy to grow, to

move and to fight diseases. Respiration

helps living things obtain energy. During

breathing, the organism's take oxygen

present in the air. This oxygen is used to

break down complex food substances

into carbon dioxide and water. During

this process energy is released so the

release of energy from food requires

respiration. :)
