All substance not produce flame on burning because some substance have not oxygen.These substance do not burn at all. These substance is called non combustile substance

Flame formation depends on the amount and quality of air present around it and not on the type of substance.If there is sufficient air then the flame is yellow while when it is less the flame is blue......
