why do all the metal piece get polish before the experiment

This removes the layer of oxidised metal, e.g. Fe2O3, which would be visibly tarnished and unreactive. Polishing, exposes fresh layers of reactive metal

it gets polished so that it may get rusted during experiments ....
i am not not sure for this ans.
