why do animal cells not have a cell wall​

Plants need rigid structure to support as well as to defend themselves whereas, animals do not possess any sort of cell wall since animals always move, they are not static in one particular place, therefore they need to be flexible. Therefore additional layer i.e cell wall is not required.

Plants having a cell wall means they are greater protected, but are restricted from movement as the cells are bound too tightly to have muscle interactions. This tight bounding also means the cells have less flexibility, and generally makes the organism less complex as the cells cannot specialize. Plants can stand up straight without bones because the cell wall acts as a built in skeletal system. We animals protect and maintain balance using our skeletal and muscle systems. If we had a cell wall, we wouldn't be able to move, and well, considering we can't make our own food, animals would have died out being inable to hunt/search for food/water.
