Why do animal cells show large variations in shape as compared to plant cells.

Anonymous: Plant cells are surrounded by a rigid cell wall made up of cellulose which make them rigid and do not allow much variation in their shape whereas animal cells lack cell wall so they show large variations in shape.'

it depends upon the functions.

vacuole of plant cell is big . it exerts more pressure towards cell membrane. so it needs the help of cell wall .

as it exerts opposite force. in the abscence of this the cell will burst.

in amimals vacuole is small so it exerts less pressure . this is why animal cell donot contain cell wall

like this there are many variations

Animal Cells Do not have a Cell Wall

Whereas the plant cell has a rigid Cell wall that makes he plant stiff and helps in surfing in critical conditions
