The patterns or stripes present on the body of animals match with their surroundings like grass, plants etc. These prevent animals from being spooted by predators easily. for eg when zebra hides itself behind the grass, these stripes confuse the predators in identifying it thereby provides protection.

Different animals like zebra, cheetah have stripes of different shapes and sizes on their bodies.

These stripes act as natural camouflage. With these stripes they can easily hide inside bushes and grasses from their predator animals.

These stripes help them to blend down in the bush and grass lands ,so that their predators couldn't find them easily.
