Animals need shelter to protect them from intense nature and also to save them from their predators.

The extensive temperatures that are present in the forest, intensive rainfall, snowfall, volcanic eruptions, Landslides, forest fires, etc., are common among the forest regions. The animals need to save their lives from these natural calamities and hence they need a protective shelter.

Also, they are constantly attacked by hunters and their predators and hence need a protective place for their resting and livelihood.
