Why do antibiotics not work against virus?

antibiotics work only for bacteria... it doesn't work for viruses becuase the properties of bacteria and virus are totally different from each other... even viruses are 100 times smaller than bacteria.

antibiotics don't use the same path way as bacteria does hence they don't work against viruses
