why do aquatic animals breathe faster than the Terrestrial animals tell me in brief

aquatic animals breathe faster as they have to utilise the O2 present in water ,which is present in less amount. So they breathe faster, but there is abundant O2 in air so the terrestrial animals breathe slowly.....

aquatic animal takes in oxygen dissolved i n water ....the amount of dissolved oxygen in water is fairly low compared to the amount of dissolved oxygen in air...therefore the rate of breathing of aquatic animal is faster as compared to terrestrial animal .... hope u get it
