Why do aquatic animals breathe faster than the terrestrial animals?

superiortanu12378: Because the amount of oxygen present in water is less as compared to air due to which they have to breath faster.

because they take oxygen present in water or oceans. it is very less in quantity as compared to land. it is very difficult to take oxygen in water hence to meet their oxygen requirements they breathe faster
