Answer:

Aquatic plants have root system because they reside in water. Since the liquid is readily available, roots need not be developed to absorb water. Minerals and vital salts are used by different parts of the plant. Instead of the root caps, they have root pockets to deliver the goods to the stems and leaf.

Ans: Aquatic plants did not have well developed roots because, They live underwater and also leaves absorb water. They also did not want roots to absorb minerals as water is readily available.
