why do arteries have thick walls in comparison to veins​

Arteries take the blood from the heart to other parts of the body .

The veins bring back the blood to the heart.

As the blood will be in high pressure while coming into the heart , the arteries have thick walls.

While the blood is no longer in pressure so the veins have thin and elastic walls.
