Arthopods and Mollusca have open circulatory system because as they have air sacs to supply blood to the heart so oxygen has also supply to all over body. Their circulatory system helps to supply oxygen to entire body and disposes carbon dioxide.

The following are the reasons for arthropods having the open circulatory system.

Explanation:

  • The arthropods have the open circulatory system because these are the primitive organisms that have not well define circulatory system like humans.
  • The arthropods do not posses the proper blood vessel system.
  • The body cavities remain filled with blood which allows the instant supply of blood instead of following a order of transfer of blood through a pipe like system like in close circulatory system.
