why do astranauts talk to each other through radio telephone in space?

because ,
we need a medium to talk ..
like - air,water,etc
but there is vaccum in space....
and sound not travel in vaccum..
that's why they use radio telephone in space...

Sound cannot travel through the vacuum of space, but visible light and other forms of electromagnetic radiation . The astronauts have devices in their helmets which transfer the sound waves from their voices into radio waves in space
