Atoms form bond because everyone in the world wants to be stable as well as comfortable in their life .

Atoms are just like that ,they also wants to be stable. So, atoms shares required no. of electrons with each other to obtain the maximum no. of electrons in their first and second orbit [2,8 ] . and hence become stable .

These are also known as noble gases . They do not participate in any chemical reactions as they are already stable .

Some examples of noble gases [ stabled] are -

Helium [ He ] , Neon [ Ne ] , Argon [ Ar ] , Krypton [Kr ] , Xenon [ Xe ] and Radon [ Rn ] .They are also known as group 18 elements .

An ionic bond, where one atom essentially donates an electron to another, forms when one atom becomes stable by losing its outer electrons and the other atoms become stable (usually by filling its valence shell) by gaining the electrons. Covalent bonds form when sharing atoms results in the highest stability

hope this helps you

thank you
