Why do balls bounce or fail to bounce?

There is basic physics behind this .According to Newton third law of motion action and reaction is equal but opposite in direction , this is why when a ball hit the surface it exerts force on that surface and reaction of which result in bouncing back of ball. The more the force more will be the bounce .
Some balls fail to bounce back because of the material they are made of , like the ball made of rubber have the better elasticity so they bounce better too.
Other then this shape of the along with the surface upon which it is bouncing also decide the ball bouncing.
