Why do big brands still use billboard advertising?

they use bill boards because most of the people walking by road or any vehicle sees them .
but if they stop billboards and advertise only in telivison and phone most of the people will ignore it .Example if an ad is played in youtube you will just skip it instead of watching and in case of billboard when your stuck in a traffic your eyes will go towards it and you would read it.
