Why do bryophytes and pteridophytes grow well in moist and shady places ?

because bryophytes and pteridophytes needs water and  they are very sensitive among sun so the  shady places gives shades if they have no shady places they get burned by heat of sun   and in reproduction they need moist environment  to fertilize their eggs .
