Hey Buddy,
Animals feel hot after remaining outside for the whole day . Buffaloes are dependent on freshwater sources because they cannot effectively dissipate heat and need water to cool off. The black skin of the buffalo is highly heat absorbent. Also, buffalo skin has a low density of sweat glands compared to other cattle, so when it works under the hot sun, the buffalo's body temperature and breath rate can increase quickly, causing death. Therefore it is essential there are water sources around the habitat of the buffalo. The buffalo also likes to wallow in mud because the water in the mud evaporates slower and provides a longer cooling period. Also, the mud helps create a layer on top of the buffalo's skin, which puts off skin parasites and biting insects.

Hope this helps u,,,,have a great day...!!
