why do bulbs discontinue to glow in series circuit after 1 bulb is removed and bulbs in parallel circuit continue to glow?​

Series Connection

If one bulb goes out, no current flows in the circuit as the blown out bulb acts as an infinite resistance. (Two wires separated by air in between them).So other bulbs stop emitting light as well.

Parallel Connection

If one bulb goes out, the other bulbs are unaffected as current still flows through the other bulbs.

Visualise this : When a bulb is blown out, cut out that portion. You will realise that the circuit is incomplete in series connection. There is no closed loop. However, the circuit is complete in parallel connection as there are other closed loops for current to flow apart from the cut-off portion.
