Why do carnivores have shorter and herbivores have longer intestine

this is because herbivores have grass and leaves which is of cellulose which is hard to first .hence they have a longer intestine to keep a track of it.

Herbivores eating grass need a longer small intestine to allow the cellulose to be digested. Whereas Meat is easier to digest, hence carnivores like tiger have shorter small intestine.
