why do cells of plants die after spraying insecticide even though insecticide is not poisonous?

because the stomata of the leaves get blocked with insecticides and they are not able to do transpiration and respiration ... as they cannot exchange gasses .. cannot do photosynthesis and dies .. hope it helps

1. The insecticides act like oils, which cut air supply. When insecticides are sprayed, they also drop on the stomata and cut much of their CO2 supply. The leaves need CO2 to make food and thus, it affects them badly. When plants don't process food, they gradually die. So, in this scenario, you can consider the yellowness as the beginning of the plant's slow death.
2. Athough insecticides are not poisonous, they still have toxic chemicals which affect the chlorophyll in the leaves. this results in the leaves losing their green colour.
