why do chefs add salt to salads just before serving. all pls answer

Salt enhances the taste of the salad and that is why it is added for a good taste.


Also adding salt in the beginning might make the salad lose water and therefore salt needs to be added at the end when the preparation is complete.


So salt is an important ingredient in the preparation.
