The cases of Chikugunya increases during the monsoon season beacause during monsoon season availability of water will increase due to rain and that will cause a rise in the no. of female mosquotoes that generally transmits pathogens in our body leading to Chikgunya and several other disease . As the rainwater gets collected in an area the mosquotoes started taking rise in their no. rapidly as that condition qill be most favourable for their reproduction as well as growth . Hence, the cases or the chances of disease borne with mosquotoes increases during monsoon or rainy season .
