The clouds appear white because the sunlight is white the cloud has all rainbow colours and the form to be white

Rain clouds are gray instead of white because of there thickness, or height. That is, a cloud gets thicker and dencer as it gathers more water droplets and ice crystals - the thicker is gets, the more light it scatters, resulting in less light penetrating all the way through it.
