why do clouds float in the sky ??

As the rule of thumb you can always(almost) assume that the things with less density float on things with higher density. And water do have less density than air, so people often think- Why the heck it does float in air?

The explanation is rather simple.
The cloud is not only millions of pounds of water. It has a lot of air among it’s tiny little drops. These droplets are so small that in order to make a drop of 5mm (millimeter) diameter we need about 5 to 8 million of smaller droplets(Which are present in cloud).

And gravity isn’t just only force being applied on these tiny droplets. The air also pushes them upward. The net effect of forces determine the luck of those droplets.

When the upward pressure of air is higher they stay in the air. And when these tiny droplets combine the force of gravity becomes higher and you get rain.
