this is because ..we know that if the particles of solution is between than 1 nanometer and 100 nanometer than they are called colloids and their solution is known as colloidal solution and main reason behind this is that it is heterogeneous mixture and it's particles are large in compared to solution......

First Colloidal solution means ,it is a homogeneous mixture of two components in which size of a component in between 1nm to 100nm. It has very small particles we cannot see them with naked eyes . These particles can easily scatter a beam of visible light as observed . It's particles exhibit colours because the solution are dispersed phase and the dispersion medium. The solute like component dispersed particles in a Colloid form the dispersed phase is suspended.
