why do complex carbohydrate not release instant energy

Simple carbohydrates provide instant energy whereas complex carbohydrates do not  because simple carbohydrates do not need to be broken down into simpler molecules whereas in complex carbohydrates it needs to be broken down into simpler molecules and it takes longer to digest. thus Simple carbohydrates provide instant energy whereas complex carbohydrates do not ..

Complex carbohydrate need some time to give energy because they have to be hydrolyzed to form some simple carbohydrates first.
