THERE ARE SOME EXCEPTIONAL CASES IN EVERY THING. IF WE LOOK AT MAMMALS THAN ECHIDNA AND PLATYPUS ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER MAMMALS. SAME AS CROCODILES ARE EXCEPTIONS.
Answer:
The crocodile has the most complicated blood circulation system of all vertebrates. They have four chambers in their heart plus 2 vertebrates. This is very unusual in reptiles and crocodiles probably adopted this trait because they spend a lot of time in the water. When they are underwater their heart rate can slow down to one or two beats a minute thus reducing blood flow and saving oxygen. As soon as it’s above water again, the heart speeds right back up to normal in a matter of a few seconds. This makes the crocodile very unusual, unique and blood circulation very efficient! Birds which evolved from reptiles also have a four chambered heart, where as other reptiles such as lizards have only 3 chambered hearts ♥️
