why  do crystalline solids are anisotropic nature and amorphous solid are isotropic in nature?

it is given there that the properties of crystalline solids are different when viewed from different directions...bcoz of the different geometry formations as viewed from different angles where as in amorphous solids you will find that there is irregular arrangement when you view it from any angle..so it has same properties along all directions therefore it is known as isotropic as iso means same
