Why do deers have a longer small intestine as compared to lions?

Because deer is herbivore and lion is carnivore. Deer eats grass while lion eats flesh. It is more easy to digest flesh than grass

Because they need to digest cellulose which is in plants. Deer, being a herbivore,is completely dependent on plant for its nutrition.So deer has long small intestine in order to digest cellulose whereas lion has comparatively smaller intestine.
