Why do developers put small games or point based things in their apps?

Answer:

Basically app developers earn most of the revenue by advertisement and then by in app purchases and subscriptions.

So, higher the number the users and more the time spent on app , greater will be revenue earned by developers.

So , i think the games and other simple unrelated stuffs just helps to increase interest in the app .

People get more interest in app and may buy subscriptions too.

And those advertisement popping out at the bottom just make their use meanwhile.

It helps to retrieve old users too , those who have uninstalled it but by new features they think once about them too.

Like recently in Google Pay , mini game of cricket was added which rewards user too.

And lots of people just played it for rewards and that must surely cause a small increase in its fame and increase its users and old users too.
