Why do doctors administer saline solution (0.9%) to patients? [2m]

hey buddy !! here's your answer...

the saline solution of 0.9% is isotonic to blood .

➡️if a concentrated solution is given , then the RBCs will shrink as this solution will become hypertonic.

➡️if dilute is given then cells will swell and eventually burst as the solution is hypotonic
