Dogs pant during hot summer days by sticking their tongues outside. By this method, a large surface area of their tongue is exposed to air. This results in greater evaporation in which produces a cooling effect. This is enjoyed by the dogs.

1.Dogs pant during hot summer days to reduce their internal temperature.
2.When dogs pant the water molecules present on the tongue and in the mouth gets evaporated by absorbing heat.
3.As evaporation is a cooling phenomena the interior of dogs body gets cooled.
