The Egyptian civilisation is one of the oldest in the world. In ancient times, the bodies of the pharaohs and their consorts were embalmed; these were then called mummies. The embalmed bodies were subsequently placed in pyramidal structures, which became famous as pyramids. Giza, in Egypt, is best known for being the resting place of several of these pyramids. Across Egypt, there must be around 118 to 120 pyramids.
The general belief in mummification and the construction of pyramids was in preparing the famous deceased persons for an after life. As electricity had not been invented in those days, it is hard to believe that the pyramids had doorbells. If at all, they must have been put up much, much later to signify that the people inside the pyramids or their servants would answer a visitor on being pressed.

Pyramids have very big shapes and structures and mummies were kept in these pyramids. There are 97 pyramids in Egygt and they have doorbells because visitors toot and come-in into pyramids where there were mummies of Kings or Pharoah were kept.
