Why do electric field lines never cross each other at any point?

As we know that the tangent drawn at any point gives the direction of electric field if two lines of force intersect each other then there will be two direction of electric field which is not possible.. so that's is the reason that electric field lines never cross each other......... . . .I hope it will help u.
