Due to which electron moves in higher energy level orbit. ... And during the return electron emits the absorbed energy in the firm of light which is an electro magnetic wave. Since we are talking at atomic level so there ia no loss of energy in collision of electrons and photons. That's why metals reflect EM radiation....
