why do farmers plough their field during summer

-Due to breaking of the hard crusted upper layer of the soil and deep ploughing the infiltration capacity and permeability of the soil increases which increase in-situ moisture conservation.
-Tillage improves soil aeration which helps in multiplication of micro-organisms.Organic matter decomposes is hastened resulting in higher nutrient availability to plants.

ploghing loosens the soil and it helps in easy transportation of air and water ploughing is done mostly during summer because in summer the land becomes dry so it can be loosen quickly
