Usually during rainy season, there are chances of lightning and thunder storms.

If lightning strikes the field then it causes loss of property and may kill people working in field

Explanation :

Here Iron staff acts as Lightning conductor .

if lightning strikes , it will hit the top of lightning conductor [iron staff]. The electrical energy passes through the metal strip and gets discharged safely into the ground through buried metal plate.Hence farmer is protected from damage himself and to his field..
