why do february has 28 days ???

actually febuary has 29th day also but thats known as leap year when 29th day came in febuary

February has 28 days due to amendments made to the Rome's calendars which had only 10 months adding up to 304 days.Numa Pompilius, Rome's king sought to add two other months, January and February which had 355 days. In 1582, Pope Gregory XIII noticed that the Julian calendar did not take into account 1/4 day so he created the concept of the leap year which had February having 28 days.
