OR

Why do fire flies glow at night?

 \textbf {Answer} :

Fire flies glow at night. This is a very interesting phenomenon and many people wonder why this happens. Here is why this unique thing happens in the case of fire flies.

Fire flies undergo a biological process known as \textbf {Bioluminescence} . This happens only in the case of fire flies. They have a special kind of substance, termed as \textbf {Luciferin} that undergoes oxidation in the presence of air (atmosphere) and an enzyme.

The above reaction is accompanied by emmission of light rays. This is the reason why fire flies glow at night.
