There are four major risks associated with the toxic environment due to a fire outburst. One among them is oxygen deficiency.
However, firemen dealing with such hazards do not make use of oxygen gas tanks for oxygen replenishment because this gas has the capability of accelerating the existing fire to a great extent. Instead, they use a self-contained breathing apparatus that has enough air to last them for about 30 to 45 minutes depending on the tank capacity.
