Why do fish and frogs lay eggs in hundreds but a hen lays only one egg at a time?

because only some hundreds of the eggs can survive rest cannot .some are eaten by other animal while some get dispersed to such places where they dont get any nutrition therefore frogs and fishes lays eggs in bulk

BECAUSE THE EGG OF HEN IS IN THE UTERUS OF IT ... WHEN THE EGG IS FORMED IT INSTEAD OF TAKING BIRTH GOES DIRECT TO THE OPPOSITE OF FALLOPIAN TUBE AND MANY PROTECTIVE LAYERS ARE FORMED .. THE HARD SHELL IS ONE SUCH LAYER .. HEN ISNT A OVIPAROUS ANIMAL BUT A VIVIPAROUS ONE ....
