Answer:

Though these animals lay hundreds of eggs and release millions of sperms, all the eggs do not get fertilised and develop into new individuals. This is because the eggs and sperms get exposed to water movement, wind and rainfall.

Answer: YES, fish and frog produce a huge number of eggs compare to hens because of the following reasons:

1)External fertilization occurs in fish and frog.

2)The females lays a vast number of eggs in water & males releases some millions of sperms on to them.

3)Eggs may be carried to a long distance by water currents or they may be eaten by predators.

4)So,fertilization is a chance factor & controlled by nature.

Hence it is inevitable to produce a vast number of eggs by fish & frog.
