why do fishes die when taken out of water

because fishes respire through gills and they can only take up oxygen in the water because it is dissolved in water and they can't take up the oxygen in the atmosphere because they do not have lungs
and hence they die

fishes die when taken out from water because they can't respire becaues they don't have lungs ,they have gills which is only applicable in water
