Why do fishes die when they are taken out of water?

Heya..

Answer:

The fishes gills works only in water. This is why most fish die when they are out of water for long.When water passes through the fishes gills ,it absorbs oxygen from the water and replace it with carbon dioxide from the fishe's bloodstream.
